Rental process was rather easy. Naili from the car provider responds quickly through WhatsApp. The car condition was acceptable, meaning a lot of small damage to the car body. The worst were quite weak brakes and sometimes on the hill even when the brake was pushed to full, the car still moved. We faced one hidden cost due to our flight delay. We were charged 50 Lari for that. We were also surprised by the fact that we have to pay for broken tire (we had a flat tire during our travel) - I was sure that full damage waiver - all damage to the car means no additional cost. Unfortunately it turns out that this doesn't apply to tires, windows etc. It should be written bold during booking process.

🅿️ Скачайте приложение для парковки до того, как поедете по Тбилиси. Без оплаты через приложение — штраф или эвакуация. Один арендатор не разобрался — его владелец приехал и сам разрулил все квитанции.
📸 Следите за камерами контроля скорости. Их полно на основных трассах, штрафы приходят автоматически. Andrej 🇨🇿 за 16 дней получил два штрафа — за запрещённый поворот (20 GEL) и за превышение скорости (50 GEL). Можно даже не узнать, пока не вернёте машину.
🛞 Проверьте шины перед выездом. Зимой это самая частая проблема. Разные шины на осях, стёртый протектор, лысая резина на горных дорогах — всё это встречается. Если едете в Местию или Гудаури, осмотрите шины при получении и попросите владельца заменить их при необходимости.
📍 Скачайте офлайн-карты. Google Maps и Maps.me не всегда хорошо работают в Грузии — неверные точки, отсутствующие дороги. Сохраните маршрут офлайн и подтвердите точку встречи с владельцем в WhatsApp до прилёта.
🚗 Выбирайте машину под маршрут. Едете в Тушетию? Нужен настоящий полноприводник с понижайкой — Subaru не справится. Только по трассам между Тбилиси и Батуми? Prius сэкономит кучу денег на бензине. В Сванетию по гравийкам? Дороги жёсткие, но нормальный 4x4 с ними справится.

Топливо и парковка
