The owner of the rental company told us they were dealing with an accident, and would be delayed picking up the car and returning the deposit. This was difficult for us, because we had a flight leaving that same day. I tried to propose alternative solutions, but the communication was difficult at this time because the owner only replied with delays. In the end, he came with his employee to pick up the car and they seemed hung over. It was on a Sunday morning, and I suspect they had a good time the night before.
