Hey, in general it was OK, but car was pretty used for me - even for such a cheap one. Main thing was tyres, see attached - bald like Dwayne Johnsons head 😅 even though it was fine, third time I rent a car from Goran and will do it again in future, but maybe something better.

The entire booking process, from the registration of the car on the site to the return at the airport, was as simple and convenient as possible. During the registration process it was possible to choose all the options concerning insurance, travel outside Montenegro or the need to provide additional components (booster, navigator, etc.). In addition, the employees of the company Milan and Goran were online to answer all related questions. Regarding the time of the car, Goran warned us in advance that there was traffic and there would be a slight delay. He then picked us up and drove us to the transfer location. We chose Skoda Fabia 1.1 gasoline, automatic, 110 hp, 2019 (if I remember correctly (smiley)). Compact, economical and very frisky car for maneuvering on mountain roads and serpentines. We went to Bosnia and Herzegovina and drove around the Kotor serpentine and Lovcen Park for another day. Everything was excellent. We chose the car based on the reviews among other things, but I'm sure they have a great selection of other cars as well). We had an early flight and by arrangement, we just left the car in the airport parking intact.) To summarize the above, I can say that LocalCarHires excellent service, which fully met our expectations, as well as Montenegro in general with its beautiful nature and kind people. We will definitely be back!!!

After reading lots of bad reviews from big car rental companies and how they scam people (especially google reviews from Avis), we decided to look for smaller local company, and it was the best choice ever. Our whole trip was an amazing experience which started with renting a car here. Not only it was much cheaper than any other company, we didn't even have to pay a deposit. We were a bit skeptical because of lack of reviews and it all almost sounded too good to be true, but it was real. The communication was great and straightforward. We picked up the car at Podgorica airport. It took couple of minutes and signing one paper and we were sitting in the car on our way for the road trip through Montenegro. We hired Skoda Fabia. The car looked like brand new, it was very clean and it drove really well. Half way through our trip I wanted to add my girlfriend as an additional driver, so I just messaged them on WhatsApp, wrote her details on the contract and it was done, for free. Returning the car was as easy as picking it up, also took only couple of minutes. There are no hidden fees and no lying, just honest people doing a great job. We will definitely recommend this company to anyone who travels to Montenegro.

In fact, there were two stressful situations that occurred during the rental car. 1) When we were still at the airport in Poland, the rental company wrote to us on WhatsApp that due to traffic jams they would not be able to arrive at Podgorica airport, but after about 15 minutes they replied that it was a mistake and the car would be there. 2) Upon arrival in Podgorica, a staff member came to pick us up and escorted us to a five-seater Opel Insignia sedan (there were six of us, each with a suitcase and backpack). We lost almost 30 minutes because the employee tried to convince us that we could ride in the car with six of us and that if we did, his supervisor would fine us even if we wanted to, because we wouldn't fit with our luggage. Finally, when I offered to cancel the contract and demand a refund of the deposit of about 30 euros, he offered an idea and gave us a second car, so we ended up with an Opel Insignia and a Citroen C3. The next day we spent several hours waiting for both cars to be exchanged for the agreed VW Touran. The car was generally in good condition, except for a warning to shut off the engine due to low oil pressure that came on about every 15 minutes. But overall, considering the price and the fact that after numerous requests the owner finally offered an alternative solution in the form of a second car to get to the hotel, it was fine.
