Overall it's good, except the cost of the fines cost a lot more than the cost of the rental. It would be cool if there was some sort of manual on what to pay attention to. Instructions on how to pay in parking machines, instructions on how to pay a fine in the local traffic police, UAE id, some general information that Yandex maps do not show current road repairs and you can accidentally violate because of this, information that Yandex maps lie about free parking, maybe recommendations of the best navigators for the Emirates... spent half of my vacation on figuring this shit out instead of having a rest. The bill for payment of toll roads, already comes on return to Russia, respectively dancing with tambourine how to pay, maps RF do not pass. There are no complaints about the staff in the office in Dubai, polite, helpful, trying to help.
Mazda 6 in the UAE
Mazda 6 is a good car. I didn't have any issues. What could be improved about service is: 1) provide basic information about stalls 2) how often car should be washed (hopefully I won't receive any tickets) to prevent police tickets 3) Tricky tickets. Like when you ride close on the motorway, the camera catches this and you will receive a ticket for close riding to next car. I didn't know about it, and had to google. 4) insurance. In all European countries if you take a full coverage it means I don't care if someone on the car parking will open their door and the car will be damaged. It's very strange that I need to check car every time and call the police for report. Especially you can get a ticket if they in case of they won't find any damage or damage that happened earlier and I didn't spot it. I prefer do not to call police for each small damage and I don't want to pay for that if I get full coverage.
Toyota Camry in the UAE
I got an Audi A3 instead of a Camry, it didn't affect me in any way. Everything went perfectly, I received it in Dubai mall and handed it over at the airport. There were no problems, the price was fine. The landlord was always in touch. The car was replaced by another car of the same class - a Nissan. I was unfortunately not met at the airport. I called the phone numbers from the application and after I got in touch with the lessors I met them at the parking lot at the airport, paid for parking and used the car. The car is in good condition, no complaints. When handing over the car I was told that the car had to be washed, and the amount of washing would be deducted from my deposit. I was surprised - the car was in the dust, there was no serious pollution (but maybe I was inattentive and it really should have been done by me). The deposit would be returned to me in 21 days after the car was handed over, as I was told by the representative at the airport, minus the car wash. They informed me that they will return it by transfer to my card in rubles. I am looking forward to it
