I rented the Opel Astra, but when we arived we were given Ford Focus. The car was good, no problem with that, but we got told that the Opel will be delivered to us after the repair is ok. We never got the car, which would be okay with us if the guy we were "communicating" with through WhatsApp ever responded, which he didnt. If he would have just said the car is broken and they cannot make it, OK, but he never responded. Otherwise the Ford Focus was alright.

it was in general ok. The staff were friendly and ready to help. I have to point out that we got an alternative car (Ford Fiesta with a 15 min delay) and not Golf 5, which was a bit of a surprise, since I didn't expect that to happen. The car was ok and I can recommend other people to use TakeCars for a car rental.

We had a good experience. The communication went very well via whatsapp. Fast response time even in the evening. They have a great drop-off and pick-up service. We used different locations. Everything was possible, even if it was a three hour drive form there office. Unfortunately our car broke down after a week. The customer service responded quickly and immediately sent a new car while we went for lunch. Thing like this can happen. More important is how it is solved. They solved it nicely. In short, I recommend this company because of the good service, car and decent prices.

The car was very old and without power steering. I hired a car to pick it up at the airport and return it there but when I handed it over I was instructed to leave it somewhere else, logically I left it at the airport and sent the guy the location where I left it parked.

Citroen C4 in Albania
Last year I used this site and everything went well. This year I was not completely satisfied. The car was supposed to arrive at my hotel at 10am. At 9.55am I received a message that the car would be later. I then received a message that I would get another car and could exchange it later. Almost an hour later the car arrived. We had already driven out and waited for an hour. The car turned out to be very old and not at all like the requested lemon. It was a very old Opel Matiz, the gas tank cap was missing, the rear seat belts were almost broken (not very convenient when you have kids with you). The story was that the lemon had been in an accident on delivery by the last renter and needed repairs. I couldn't wait for that as I was going to be traveling and the nearest hotel was 3 hours away. So we agreed to use this car. Every day it had a warning light come on and it didn't shift well, but otherwise it was fine. When we returned, I was allowed to park the car in designated spots. The company apologized. However, they should have called me immediately and honestly explained the situation. They didn't do that until later. Then I would have understood the situation better too.
