We had a good experience. The communication went very well via whatsapp. Fast response time even in the evening. They have a great drop-off and pick-up service. We used different locations. Everything was possible, even if it was a three hour drive form there office. Unfortunately our car broke down after a week. The customer service responded quickly and immediately sent a new car while we went for lunch. Thing like this can happen. More important is how it is solved. They solved it nicely. In short, I recommend this company because of the good service, car and decent prices.

overall it was good. Although we did not receive a Mazda, it became a Mercedes B class. Have to say the condition of the car and state of maintenance was very (very!) poor. This gave us a uncomfortable feeling while driving in the mountains. Communication with the owner was good though. Also when the car stopped working on our last day, he was there quite quickly and gave us another car. Baby seat was very poor and far from safe. Anyway, overall an OK experience but enough points to improve

In general, we are satisfied with the car rental. The price is reasonable, economical, it is good that it is diesel because it is an advantage for the roads of Abania. However, the car needs service: an error was lit all the time, the windshield washer and aux did not work. they gave us a worn down, not maintained car where literally everything was broken (and I mean everything) we found out during our stay. A dangerous car (flat tyres, no car horn, engine shut off when driving in first gear in the mountains) and numerous other stuff broken or missing. I contacted him (Aldi) about it. I had to drive back to Tirana to get a lifting jack for the car. In the end he was joking about it (I wouldn't need a car horn in Albania - we almost got into an accident because of this missing car horn). Also when renting the car I was asking a couple of times about the insurance. They said: no problem: everything is okay (his brother in law who was running the business in Tirana didn't speak English). Then on top of everything we had a huge engine failure in the mountains which he stated caused by our doing. I still don't know what happened to the car. After a few days he started texting me to pay him a lot of money for this (I think it was 2000 euro or something; oh no I got a 'discount'). And he started waving his contract (Albanian) at me. I declined because of the fact that I still don't know what happened to the car (never saw an official damage contract) and the bad state of the car. I never got a replacement car. So we only had the 16 days or so. We missed out 12 days. And then the 'threats' started. He would go to the police, legal steps, etc. He and his brother started pushing pressure on us. We left Albania because of this. And he is still sending me whatsapp messages through his 'friends' I guess. I should pay him or otherwise....I'm blocking everything right now. I already contacted my lawyer about this whole situation. This Aldi guy will give you a different story I guess, but this is my point of view. And in my point of view he is owing me money (car rental, deposit, full tank, taxi/bus).

Everything went just fine !!! I liked that we were met at the airport and immediately taken to the car and we did not waste time looking for it in the parking lot. The manager spoke excellent English, we completed all the documents on the spot in 5 minutes and hit the road! Also, there were no problems with returning the car. I threw off our geolocation to the manager and he approached the car within 5 minutes! On the spot we were returned a deposit of 50 euros and EVERYTHING !!! Good service and most importantly no deposit !!!

Everything was allright. We have survived driving in Albanian mountains. No damage, no failure. The engin of the car was weak for mountains but it was my choice and I knew it. Love your country and the trafic. The guys renting me a car were pleasant and fair.
