What we liked: Liked the price. Overall it ended up being a positive experience. Convenient website with browsing and auto selection. Availability of hull insurance. Convenient registration on the site. The car did not let me down all the way, 130 hp and automatic transmission contributed to a comfortable ride. What I didn't like: 1. During the inspection of the car, the car had a huge number of body defects, which the employee did not fix in the document, we were very wary of this and we had to insist several times that he would mark everything, it caused feelings that we want to cheat - unpleasant feelings. The employee left without entering everything as it should be and we independently entered all the shortcomings on the condition of the car. 2. Externally the car was dusty and was not clean, it was not critical. 3. The car was dirty: dusty outside, windshield in old dust, in the interior - small debris and dirt in the corners. 4.But more upsetting was the technical condition of the car. To rent a car in such a condition is to jeopardize the clients' rest and maybe even their lives. The suspension rattled very strongly. It is very uncomfortable to drive a car with such suspension, it just seems that right on the move is about to fall off a shock absorber, wheel or something else. 5. There was no indication that localcars is an aggregator, not from the first time found the office - no specific scheme of passage to the office, it was very disturbing minutes. 6. There was no usb charger in the car.

The car was in a good condition, maybe a bit dirty inside but it was a rental car so its okay, we managed to drive on any road easily. The car's battery drained once, for no reason (we didn't leave the lights on), so we had to use a battery jumper which was not inside a car, so we had to buy one. During the problem i contacted Tamuna but the communication between us wasn't very smooth. I texted him in English he responded in partly English and Georigian for most of the time. So If you dont speak Georgian or Russian i think you should go for another Vendor because the communication could have been easier. Apart from this battery problem, the car was very robust and did a good job on offroad.

Not finding anything resembling an office where they can rent cars, we called the number that was indicated by the contact and explained who we were. There was a feeling that at the other end of the wire they were a little surprised by our call, but they promised that we would soon have a car. They brought her in 20 minutes later. The delay is small, but still there. 2. The car was not the one that was booked. We were supposed to rent a Subaru Forester but ended up with a Subaru Crosstrek. They explained this to us by the fact that Forester had not yet been returned by the previous tenants. For us, this moment was not critical, and we agreed to what was brought to us. But if it was important for us that we had a four-wheel drive car, then the situation would be unpleasant. There were no questions about the condition of the car: everything was fine. 3. Car wash: we were told that upon return we would have to pay 30 GEL for it. Although when booking we understood that we would have to pay something, it would still be better if we were warned about this when booking. It is also worth noting that the car was not perfectly clean when we received it. And the price for the sink itself seemed to me quite overpriced. There is an option where you can return the car with more gasoline than it was when you received it, but, in any case, it is better to find out about any surcharges when booking. Summarizing, I can say that the impressions of the rental are rather positive, with the exception of those points that I indicated above: there were no problems with the owner, with the car, too, no one tried to “throw or breed” for money.

It was a good first experience. :)) Right at the entrance to Kutaisi airport a bright yellow BumbleBee - Chevrolet Camaro was waiting for us. My wife had long dreamed of riding in a small, privileged car with a folding top with a view of some beauty. She was delighted. The car is quite tough, it is understandable with so many horses under the hood, through bluetooth connected favorite music and enjoyed and a little annoyed by the loud music of others, and also received enthusiastic looks from others to Tbilisi and back. What you should know before driving
🅿️ Download the parking app before you drive in Tbilisi. You'll get fined or towed if you don't pay through the app. One renter couldn't figure it out — his owner drove over and sorted the tickets himself.
📸 Watch out for speed cameras. They're everywhere on main highways, and fines are issued automatically. Andrej 🇨🇿 picked up two fines in 16 days — one for an illegal turn (20 GEL) and one for speeding (50 GEL). You may not even know until you return the car.
🛞 Check your tires before you leave. This is the most common issue in winter. Mismatched tires, worn tread, bald rubber on mountain roads — it all comes up. If you're heading to Mestia or Gudauri, inspect the tires at pickup and ask the owner to swap them if needed.
📍 Download offline maps. Google Maps and Maps.me don't always work well in Georgia — wrong pins, missing roads. Save your route offline and confirm the pickup point with your owner on WhatsApp before you land.
🚗 Pick the right car for your route. Going to Tusheti? You need a real 4x4 with low range — a Subaru won't cut it. Staying on highways between Tbilisi and Batumi? A Prius will save you a fortune on fuel. Heading to Svaneti on gravel roads? They're brutal, but a proper 4x4 handles them fine.

Driving basics
Georgia drives on the right. Speed limits: 60 km/h in cities, 90 km/h on open roads, 110 km/h on highways. Blood alcohol limit is 0.03% — effectively zero tolerance.
Main roads between major cities are in good condition. Mountain roads (Gudauri, Mestia, Stepantsminda) are paved but narrow with sharp turns — keep headlights on. Winter tires are mandatory on mountain passes from December 1 through March 1.

Fuel and parking
Fuel stations are plentiful along main routes. Stick to Wissol, Gulf, or Socar for consistent quality. Most are full-service — an attendant fills your tank. Expect around 3.0–3.5 GEL per liter for gasoline.
Paid parking operates in Tbilisi, Batumi, and Kutaisi through city parking apps. Everywhere else, parking is free.
