Un peu cher en termes de rapport qualité-prix, mais il semble que les prix soient ce qu'ils sont.

Le processus de location a été plutôt facile. Naili, le fournisseur de la voiture, répond rapidement par WhatsApp. L'état de la voiture était acceptable, ce qui signifie qu'il y avait beaucoup de petits dommages sur la carrosserie. Nous avons dû faire face à un coût caché dû au retard de notre vol. Nous avons dû payer 50 lari pour cela. Nous avons également été surpris par le fait que nous devions payer pour un pneu cassé (nous avons eu une crevaison pendant notre voyage) - j'étais sûr que la renonciation totale aux dommages - tous les dommages à la voiture ne signifient aucun coût supplémentaire. Malheureusement, il s'avère que cette clause ne s'applique pas aux pneus, aux vitres, etc. Cela devrait être écrit en gras pendant le processus de réservation.

Nous avons reçu une autre Prius, ce qui ne nous a pas posé de problème. Le propriétaire nous a toujours contactés et nous a gentiment proposé d'amener la voiture à l'adresse indiquée et a également accepté de nous laisser la voiture 2 heures plus tard. Il nous a d'ailleurs remerciés chaleureusement. Ils voulaient nous faire payer le lavage de la voiture. Au départ, c'était environ 20$, puis environ 10$ et finalement nous avons payé 15 GEL supplémentaires car c'était le seul argent que nous avions. La voiture était propre à l'intérieur, la seule chose était du sable sur la carrosserie. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi la société ne peut pas inclure des choses comme le paiement du lavage dans le montant total du loyer. La deuxième chose qui était très embarrassante était les pneus complètement dégonflés. Selon le contrat, si quelque chose lui arrivait, je devais payer de nouvelles roues. Peut-être qu'en Géorgie, il est d'usage de conduire avec de tels pneus, mais j'étais très inquiet de savoir si nous allions arriver à destination.

For the city and short loops
If the plan is Kutaisi and surroundings (Gelati, Bagrati, Sataplia, Tskaltubo), any automatic saloon will do. Toyota Corolla, Ford Fusion, Hyundai Sonata — the typical pick in this segment. The climbs to the monasteries are short, and there are no serious mountain switchbacks nearby.

For Svaneti and longer drives
If Mestia, Ushguli, Racha or an overland run through the mountain villages to Batumi are on the itinerary, a crossover or 4x4 is the smarter call. Subaru Forester remains the universal workhorse: pricing, clearance, reliability. Ushguli specifically demands real four-wheel drive.
In Kutaisi we often hear: three-day rental, want to see Svaneti. The honest answer: in three days you can only realistically reach Mestia. Ushguli needs its own trip with an overnight and a confident 4x4.
Fuel and hybrids
The Kutaisi fleet includes many hybrids driven over from Tbilisi: Toyota Prius, Aqua, Lexus CT200h. They all require 95-octane petrol only — 92 throws a dashboard error and moves the car into limp mode. The major chains (SOCAR, Gulf, Wissol, Rompetrol) cover the city and the motorway to Batumi.
A common technical mistake in Kutaisi is filling a Prius with 92 at a late-night stop on the way from the airport. We always ask renters to watch the nozzle: the yellow label is 95, and the car will run fine.

From Kutaisi the itinerary extends in every direction. Car hire in Georgia is the country-level overview with seasons and border conditions. Car hire in Tbilisi suits travellers heading to the capital and then on to Kakheti or Kazbegi. Car hire in Batumi is for those finishing the trip on the Adjara coast.
