everything went well in principle. Together with the Punto we were given an old Mercedes, but quite decent. However, at the Serbian-Montenegrin border it refused to drive more than 80 km/h, but after stopping and restarting it went again. There were no more problems except detention back at the Montenegro-Serbian border (they said the problem was in the Mercedes, the police put some kind of arrest on it, we stood for 2 hours, then they let me go without explaining anything, probably trusting in the Russian passport and the plane in the evening played its role).

I rented a car on the Takecars website, prepaid with a rouble card, which is very convenient in the current climate. I received the car at the airport exit, and paid the rest of the rent in cash. I chose full insurance to avoid possible troubles on the road, it was not expensive at all. In 12 days we traveled through Serbia, Bosnia and Montenegro. The car is powerful, which comes in handy on mountain serpentines. Very satisfied with the car trip through the Balkans, thanks to Takecars staff for providing the car.

I ordered a Renault Clio4 diesel manual, but they replaced it with a higher class - Opel Astra diesel automatic for the same money. At the appointed time a TakeCars employee was waiting for us at the airport parking lot, as agreed. We traveled in September 2024 from Belgrade to Montenegro and back. All in a circle of about 1500 km. The car did not let us down. In the mountains the diesel pulls very confidently. Full tank is enough for 700-750 km. (the price of diesel 1,42 euros). Seating behind the wheel and on the front passenger seat is very comfortable. The trunk for things for two people is quite enough. Air conditioning and other systems of the car worked well. From the minuses: a dent on the rear left wing; tire pressure sensor is not working; the button for adjusting the side mirrors is broken. In summary, I am satisfied with the use of this service.
