Mazda 6 in the UAE
Mazda 6 is a good car. I didn't have any issues. What could be improved about service is: 1) provide basic information about stalls 2) how often car should be washed (hopefully I won't receive any tickets) to prevent police tickets 3) Tricky tickets. Like when you ride close on the motorway, the camera catches this and you will receive a ticket for close riding to next car. I didn't know about it, and had to google. 4) insurance. In all European countries if you take a full coverage it means I don't care if someone on the car parking will open their door and the car will be damaged. It's very strange that I need to check car every time and call the police for report. Especially you can get a ticket if they in case of they won't find any damage or damage that happened earlier and I didn't spot it. I prefer do not to call police for each small damage and I don't want to pay for that if I get full coverage.
Mitsubishi Xpander in the UAE
everything went great. Instead of a Mitsubishi Xpander, we were given a brand new VW Teramont, driven to the car, picked up from the car afterwards.

I liked the service. The car was fresh, comfortable. No deposit was required. When receiving everything I took pictures and video (there were some small bumps on the body), when handing it over I checked it - signed the documents and that's it. There were no problems. In the future I will also rent here. For Russians such companies are a salvation, because we can't leave a deposit as before).

When we were passing through Dubai, on the last day we decided to rent a car to get to beautiful desert locations for a photo shoot. We found a suitable and most favorable option (Mitsubishi Attrage) on TakeCars. We had to wait for the car to be issued...took photos, signed everything and off we went. Everything went well, returning the car took much less time than getting it. And we drove to the airport. We were a little upset that we didn't take the car on the last day. After all, we could have gone to Abu Dhabi to see the Zayd Mosque.

Great car, very roomy, holds the road perfectly on the highway, easy to drive in the city. The rental process is very comfortable - the guys bring the car to the airport right to the arrival, quickly sign the papers and drive off. Return also without waiting, at the designated time. The deposit was returned as they said - exactly in 10 days, in full on the Russian card. In general I recommend, next time I will definitely take a car here - the choice of car options is very decent.

Yes. Third-Party Liability (TPL) — which covers damage you cause to other vehicles and people — is included in the price on every car. On most cars in our UAE catalogue, Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) is also free. A large share of the fleet additionally includes Full Damage Waiver (FDW — zero excess), Theft Protection (TP) and Personal Accident (PA). The exact coverage for a given car is listed on the car card.
Yes. Full Damage Waiver (FDW) with zero excess is available for free on a large share of our UAE catalogue — filter by 'FDW included' or look for the 'Zero excess' mark on the car card. Combined with Theft Protection, Personal Accident and the No-Deposit option (also free on a portion of the fleet), this is the most protected option we offer in the UAE.

For tourists: a passport with a valid UAE entry stamp or visa, a national driving licence and, in most cases, an International Driving Permit (IDP). For UAE residents: Emirates ID plus a UAE driving licence. Please bring originals — photos on a phone are not accepted at pickup.
For most tourists — yes. The UAE recognises national licences directly from about 40 countries, including the UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, all EU states, Japan, South Korea and all GCC countries — if you're from one of them, the national licence alone is enough. Otherwise bring both your IDP and your national licence.
Entry-level economy cars in our UAE catalogue start from around AED 29/day (typically Nissan Sunny, Mitsubishi Attrage, Hyundai i10). The typical rate across the whole catalogue is around AED 140/day. Premium SUVs and sedans sit at AED 450–900/day, and supercars start from around AED 2,500/day. Weekly and monthly rentals usually come with better daily rates.
Not at the moment. Cross-border travel to Oman and Saudi Arabia is currently unavailable on our UAE catalogue — it requires a special No Objection Certificate (NOC) and an extended insurance policy. If the route is important for your trip, please contact our support team before booking and we'll check whether an individual arrangement is possible.
Yes. Our UAE catalogue includes cars that accept cash, a debit card or a credit card for the deposit, plus cars that require no deposit at all. Use the 'Payment method' filter in search, or open the 'Deposit' block on a car card to see which methods that specific car accepts. Note: most providers require a physical card for the deposit block — Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay typically cannot be used for the deposit, only for the online booking fee.
Traffic fines in the UAE are registered against the car's number plate, so the rental company receives them first and then passes the charge on to you, together with a small administrative fee (typically AED 50–100). Fines can take 2–4 weeks to appear after your rental ends, so keep your payment card valid for that period.
